We respect your privacy and explain in clear language what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage or delete it.

1. Introduction

This policy describes information handled by the website and its contact forms. The current service does not provide a mobile app or public user accounts.

It does not cover information collected on third-party websites or services that may link to My Phone Finder.

2. Disclaimer of liability

Use My Phone Finder only for lawful purposes and submit only information you are entitled to publish. The service is provided as is and does not guarantee recovery or location of a device.

3. Eligibility

The service is not intended for persons under 21 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; if you believe a minor submitted data, contact us so we can review it.

4. Logs and cookies

The server may log request information such as IP address and browser details. A cookie remembers the last IMEI searched for up to one year, and another cookie records cookie-banner acceptance.

5. Information we collect

  • IMEI record data: IMEI, required contact email, optional phone number, short note, language, submission time, and submitting IP address.
  • IMEI search logs: searched IMEI, request time, submitting IP address, and whether a match was found.
  • Contact-form data: name, email address, subject, message, and verification response.
  • Cookies used for the last searched IMEI, session and request security, and cookie-banner acceptance.

6. How we collect information

We receive data when you submit an IMEI or contact form and when the web server processes a request. We do not collect call logs, physical location, payment data, or device-permission data through the current code.

7. How we use information

  1. Search and display matching community-submitted IMEI records.
  2. Save a new IMEI record and allow people who search it to reveal the submitted contact email.
  3. Limit repeated searches, diagnose technical issues, and reply to contact requests.
  4. Comply with applicable legal obligations.

8. Disclosure

A matching lookup displays the submitted IMEI, note, date, and a control that reveals the submitted email. We may disclose information when legally required. The current code contains no payment processor or background-check integration.

9. Accessing and correcting your data

There is no self-service account or record editor. Use the contact form to request review, correction, or deletion and provide enough information to identify the submission.

10. Data security

The production site is configured to use HTTPS. The reviewed code does not implement field-level encryption for stored IMEI records, so do not submit passwords, payment details, identity documents, or other sensitive information in a note.

11. Records and requests

The public IMEI workflow does not create a user account and does not accept payments. Contact support if a submission needs review.
